Following the successful launch event in June 2022 which featured over 700 registrants and the support of 26 sponsors, the LSTA and event co-host DealCatalyst are excited to announce a new location and date pattern for the 2023 program. This two-day conference will feature an enhanced focus on direct lending, as activity by asset managers has skyrocketed and institutional investor interest in the asset class is on the rise. The program will deep dive into the health of middle market companies post-pandemic and amid rising interest rates, supply chain challenges, and macro-political tensions. We will also explore why institutional investors are increasingly attracted to this sector, and what their credit assessment, ESG compliance, underwriting and risk-adjusted return requirements are from direct lenders. Various forms of financing available to direct lenders will be explored, including the Middle Market CLO structure, which is finding favor among traditional BSL CLO investors as a diversification to their alternative investment portfolio.

DealCatalyst is an events organizer founded by conference industry veterans with over 60 years of combined experience hosting events for the structured finance sector. This powerful partnership will ensure a conference that is truly designed for and by the leveraged loans and CLO industry.
The one and a half day agenda will feature an enhanced focus on the foundation of CLOs with extensive coverage on the leveraged lending market. Topics will include leveraged loan performance, assessing the health of corporate credit in the U.S., outlook for sectors (energy, healthcare, technology), M&A activity, and the impact of global volatility on the syndicated loan market. The program will also cover new structural trends in CLOs, ESG developments, emerging asset types for CLOs, and investor views on CLO equity and debt. As always, our program is drafted in consultation with LSTA CLO Committee, ensuring the same quality and timely content associated with DealCatalyst events.
